On May 1, 2024, Julie Elise Landry was announced as an incoming Associate Poetry Editor of Bayou Magazine, the annual, international literary magazine published by the University of New Orleans.
Bayou's mission is "to publish exceptional, exciting work by both established and emerging writers" in the fields of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and play-writing.
As an Associate Poetry Editor, Julie will help the rest of the editorial team read and select poems for publication, proofread galleys, and coordinate volunteer poetry readers. She served as a poetry reader from Fall 2022 through Spring 2024.
She will begin in her role as Associate Poetry Editor in Summer 2024.
