On March 28, 2024, diode poetry journal published Julie Elise Landry's interview with Louisiana Poet Laureate Alison Pelegrin in the journal's 17th anniversary edition.
The interview focuses on Pelegrin's revision process. It was conducted via email in Fall 2022 for Carolyn Hembree’s course on poetry revision at the University of New Orleans in the Creative Writing Workshop MFA program.

Landry said, "I am honored that Alison Pelegrin shared her time and her reflective brilliance with me. I kept her book Hurricane Party close at hand for four years, reading from it as often as my own Katrina memories would allow, and I read the whole book in the wake of the 2016 Louisiana floods. Though I am not someone who leaves marks or notes in my books, I have flags on the pages of Hurricane Party to guide me quickly to my favorite poems."
Pelegrin has authored five poetry collections, including Our Lady of Bewilderment, published by LSU Press in 2022.
